SUMMARY:Introducing Singer Ema Wilbanks at AutumnFest 2024
DESCRIPTION:Talented Young Performer Kicks off Big Creek Winery AutumnFest 2024 Oct. 12 at 11 a.m.  \nWe’re thrilled to kick off Big Creek Winery’s AutumnFest 2024 with a special performance by a young and talented musician who has a deep passion for folk\, country and bluegrass music. \nGrowing up in a musical family\, this young lady’s love for music began early. With a grandmother who served as the choir director and organist at the Church of the Messiah and a father who played guitar\, she was surrounded by melodies and harmonies from the start. About six years ago\, she picked up her brother’s old guitar\, downloaded a free tuning app\, and began to teach herself the basics. The very first song she learned to play was Dolly Parton’s “Jolene\,” marking the start of her journey into the world of music. \nThree years ago\, she began taking guitar lessons from the late Jim Rutledge\, who inspired her to further develop her skills. Since then\, she has been actively performing\, volunteering\, and honing her craft as a musician and singer. As a member of the musical group Harwell\, Stone\, and the Extra Credits – a band consisting of professors and students from UT Southern – she continues to explore her love for folk\, country and bluegrass music\, which have been a staple in her life since childhood. \nThis talented young artist not only plays the acoustic guitar but also aspires to learn more instruments as she grows and evolves in her musical journey. Although she occasionally writes her own songs\, she’s still perfecting them and looks forward to sharing her original work in the future. \nCurrently a senior at Richland High School\, she balances her musical pursuits with being a cheer team member. She dreams of continuing her education and cheering at Tennessee Tech University. \nJoin us at Big Creek Winery’s AutumnFest 2024 to enjoy her set\, which begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m. Her performance will be the perfect start to a day filled with great music\, delicious wine tastings\, local vendors\, food trucks\, bouncy houses and more. Following her will be The Sins Country at 1 p.m. and Rock and Repeat at 5 p.m. All these activities and open-air concerts are free to attend\, making it a perfect day for relaxation\, community and celebration. \nCome unwind\, sip some delicious wine and enjoy a day full of music and fun at Big Creek Winery’s AutumnFest 2024. We can’t wait to see you there!

SUMMARY:Rock & Repeat Headlines Big Creek Winery AutumnFest 2024
DESCRIPTION:Rock & Repeat – New Kids in Town Rockin’ & Repeatin’ your favorite tunes from the 70s\, 80s\, 90s and 2000s! \nHeadlining Autumfest 2024 is Rock & Repeat. They will begin performing at 5 p.m. and will wrap up around 8 p.m. There is no charge for the day-long activities at Big Creek Winery\, which includes food trucks by Good News Food and Fancy Filly\, wine tastings and bouncy houses\, or the concert on the winery’s grounds.\n \nMore about Rock & Repeat\n \nTwo years ago\, the lead guitarist\, Dean\, decided to pull a new band together. The goal was to have a medley of everyone’s favorite flavors with a side of fun. Throw in the animated singer that he met in his back yard and you have Rock & Repeat! Wait… She wasn’t stalking Dean while singing… They have adjoining backyards – really!\n \nLet’s just introduce the Band…\n \nDean Sharpe plays lead guitar and backup vocals. He has loved music ever since he can remember. When he was a kid during the 8-track era\, he heard his sister’s Kiss Alive album and fell in love. He picked up the guitar at 14 to look cool… and when that didn’t work\, he learned how to play. Over the past 30 years he has played in bands like Senseless\, Haze\, Peacemaker and Damn Skippy.\n \nMike Graham came out of the womb drumming (his mom was glad to get him out) and soon became the latest sensation at family gatherings. He started his professional career in 1984 playing in a jazz band through high school and college. He has been part of numerous cover and original acts over the years.\n \nJimmy Willis plays bass guitar and vocals (and band mascot). He’s been rocking the local music scene for over 30 years now. He has performed in local cover bands such as HAZE and Damn Skippy (with Dean)\, as well as an original band called Seeking Clarity (with Mike) that produced an album that is still available on iTunes. He’s a master with funny movie quotes and always ready for good music and good times.\n \nTina Turner is not Tina Turner… BUT she is lead vocals and dances. She claims to have Tina Turner legs\, enjoys rolling on the river\, and dressed up once as her for Halloween. She has been singing since she got out of diapers and will be singing when she gets back into them. But she has been singing in public now for over 6 years and loves it. New to the band scene\, her biggest passion now is to ROCK & REPEAT on stage while everyone has a BLAST.\n \nCome enjoy something fresh and fun (and a little unpredictable)! The band has been working hard on their show so you can finally get some much-needed R&R! That’s Rock & Repeat – your ultimate music retreat!\n \n \n \n

SUMMARY:Ema Wilbanks Returns to Stage for Spring Jam
DESCRIPTION:Ema Wilbanks Returns to Winery for Encore Performance at Spring Jam 2025 \nBig Creek Winery is brining back a talented young singer-songwriter who has a deep passion for folk\, country and bluegrass music. Ema Wilbanks will return to the winery stage for Spring Jam 2024 beginning at 11 a.m. on May 10 for a lunchtime set. \n“Ema made her solo debut at AutumnFest last fall\, and our guests loved her\,” said Big Creek Winery owner Billy Brymer. “Both her original music and her covers of popular favorites were very impressive.” \nGrowing up in a musical family\, this young lady’s love for music began early. \nMore than three years ago\, she began taking guitar lessons from the late Jim Rutledge\, who inspired her to further develop her skills. Since then\, she has been actively performing\, volunteering and honing her craft as a musician and singer. As a member of the musical group Harwell\, Stone and the Extra Credits – a band consisting of professors and students from UT Southern – she continued to explore her love for folk\, country and bluegrass music\, which have been a staple in her life since childhood. \nThis talented young artist not only plays the acoustic guitar but also aspires to learn more instruments as she grows and evolves in her musical journey. Although she occasionally writes her own songs\, she’s still perfecting them and looks forward to sharing her original work in the future. \nShe’ll graduate from Richland High School this spring\, where she has balanced her musical pursuits with being a cheer team member. She plans on continuing her education at Tennessee Tech University this fall. \nJoin us at Big Creek Winery’s Spring Jam 2025 to enjoy her set\, which begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m. Her performance will be the perfect start to a day filled with great music\, delicious wine tastings\, local vendors\, food trucks\, bouncy houses and more. Following her will be Ian Nelson from 2-4:30 p.m. and Shelby Lee Lowe from 5:30 -8:30 p.m. All these activities and open-air concerts are free to attend\, making it a perfect day for relaxation\, community and celebration. \nCome unwind\, sip some delicious wine and enjoy a day full of music and fun at Big Creek Winery’s Spring Jam 2025. We can’t wait to see you there!

SUMMARY:Worley Max McKinney to Perform at Big Creek Winery June 20
DESCRIPTION:Make plans to attend a special night of music and local storytelling on June 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Big Creek Winery. \nGiles County native and longtime songwriter Worley Max McKinney will take the stage to share selections from his newest album\, The Land of Milk and Honey: Songs and Memories From Giles County\, Tennessee. The project features 16 original songs inspired by the people\, places and traditions of the county he has called home his entire life. \nMcKinney\, who was raised in the Beech Hill community and educated at Beech Hill School and Martin College\, still lives on his farm in the Beech Hill and Frankewing area. His deep connection to Giles County has shaped much of his songwriting over the years\, something he fully realized after being invited to headline a Writer’s Night in Knoxville. While preparing for that performance\, he discovered just how many of his songs were rooted in his hometown\, sparking the idea for an album devoted entirely to Giles County. \nThe album brings together previously released songs such as “Giles County Christmas\,” “Lynnville Girl\,” “Out on Beech Hill Road” and “Tennessee Homecoming\,” along with new material including “Home to Campbellsville\,” “Giles County\, Pulaski Post Office\,” “The Land of Milk and Honey” and “Safely Home.” \nIn addition to his work as a performer\, McKinney has built a respected career in the Nashville music industry. His songs have been recorded by artists including Conway Twitty\, Don Gibson\, Moe Bandy\, Daryl Singletary\, John Wesley Ryles\, Neon Cactus and Linda Davis. He also co-wrote “Your Unfailing Love\,” which appeared on the Grammy Award-winning album Love Remains by Hillary Scott and the Scott Family. \nThe June 20 event will feature live performances\, stories behind the songs and an opportunity to meet McKinney. CDs of the new album will be available for purchase for $10. \nThe event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend.
