A true Tennessee native, Shelby has carved out his own lane in today’s country scene with a signature blend of neo-traditional country, Bakersfield grit, and indie rock influence. His sound is both fresh and familiar, drawing inspiration from the legends like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings while connecting with new generations through authentic songwriting and magnetic performances.
Shelby earned his degree in music business from Middle Tennessee State University and signed his first publishing deal in 2016 with Banner Music in Nashville. Since then, he’s become a full-time touring artist and songwriter, gaining millions of streams for his debut album Stubborn Heart and building a loyal following across the country.
Whether he’s performing at a packed honky-tonk or in a vineyard under the open sky like he will be doing at Spring Jam 2025, Shelby brings passion, presence and the kind of talent that makes audiences stop and listen.
