Ian Nelson Set to Perform at Big Creek Winery Spring Jam 2025
Big Creek Winery is proud to welcome Ian Nelson to the stage for Spring Jam 2025 on Saturday, May 10 from 2– 4:30 p.m., and we can’t wait for you to hear his story — and his soul-stirring sound.
Born in Indianapolis and raised in Hayden, Alabama, music has always been part of Ian’s heartbeat. Inspired by his father’s voice and guitar, Ian started performing young, fronting a high school band called Auction 45. Life took him in a different direction for a time, but the music never left him.
A gift from his wife Mary — a guitar in 2012 — sparked a new chapter, and by 2020 Ian began sharing his music on social media. In 2022, he took the stage in St. Petersburg, Florida, for his first live performance in more than 15 years. From there, the momentum soared. By 2023, Ian was playing full-time, lighting up venues and opening for major acts across the Southeast.
In 2024, Ian faced the heartbreaking loss of his father. Returning to Alabama to be closer to family, Ian now plays with a renewed sense of purpose. Every chord he strums is a tribute to the man who inspired it all.
